1. Detection of sensor power supply voltage: Disconnect the ignition switch, unplug the sensor wire connector plug, and connect the positive and negative probes of the multimeter to terminals 1 and 3 of the connector respectively. When the ignition switch is turned on, the voltage should be above 4.5V. If the voltage is zero, it indicates that there is a broken or short circuit in the wiring harness, or there is a malfunction in the ECU; After disconnecting the ignition switch, continue to check for any open or short circuits in the wiring.


2. Testing of wire resistance: Use the resistance range of a multimeter to check the resistance values between terminal 1 of the sensor and terminal 62 of the ECU, terminal 2 of the sensor and terminal 76 of the ECU, and terminal 3 of the sensor and terminal 67 of the ECU. The resistance value between each wire should not exceed 1.5 Ω.


If the resistance is too high or infinite, it indicates poor contact of the wiring harness or open circuit of the wire, and the wiring harness should be repaired or replaced. Continue to check the resistance between terminals 1, 2, and 3 of the sensor connector or between terminals 62, 76, and 67 of the ECU using the multimeter resistor. The measured resistance should be infinite.


The detection principle of Hall current sensor is that the magnetic circuit has a good linear relationship with the output of the Hall device. Therefore, the voltage signal U0 output by the Hall device can indirectly reflect the magnitude of the measured current I1, that is, I1 ∝ B1 ∝ U0. We scale U0 as when the measured current I1 is at the rated value, U0 is equal to 50mV or 100mV. This creates a Hall direct detection (without amplification) current sensor.
